Corinne Duchesne, a Canadian Artist, was born in Quebec and currently resides in Ontario. She is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art (and Design) and she spent her final year in the College's juried Off-Campus Program in Florence Italy, studying with Tom LaPierre. An award winning artist for over 20 years, Duchesne has exhibited extensively in Canada, The United States, South Korea and Europe.

Duchesne is currently constructing a body of work that examines grief through expansive compositional triads. On large sheets of Mylar, she builds, dissects and examines the mind's attempts -- through encrypted visual metaphors -- to understand the reality of loss. The drawings create a place for memory, as fantastical or as practical as the viewer requires.

Duchesne has recently been awarded the Ontario Arts Council Visual Artist Mid-Career Grant. Duchesne is delighted to acknowledge the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council.
